What I did on the long weekend:

1. Friday night: Went out to dinner with pierceheart at Border Cafe. Mmm. Saw Kingdom of Heaven in Harvard Square. Much drooling.

2. Saturday morning/afternoon: brewed beer. Squee'd over bubbling fermenter. Saturday night: Went to Providence with the boy, met up with j4yx0r and company. Drank beer. Watched improv silliness. Drank more beer. Got insulted by fuckwits at diner. Sang along with j4yx0r's strummings. Slept over at the parents' place.

3. Sunday morning: Ate breakfast with the family. Came back to Boston. Shopped. Had lovely afternoon nap with pierceheart. Sunday night: Grilled nummy food. Ate. Fell asleep in front of the TV. Awakened by the boy to get my ass in bed.

4. Monday morning: Baked Irish soda bread from mix. Nice. Went for drive along the North Shore. Got out of car on beach, but rain and wind drove us back into the car. Meep. Lusted over houses. Came home. Monday night: Grilled burgers and sausage, made pasta salad, ate. Knit while watching Bab 5. Knitknitknitknit. More knitting. Bed.

All in all, 'twas fun.

Yes! The Cathouse Brewery is open for business! :) (Our apartment has three cats...it seemed like a logical name when we found a cat hair in the beer.)

I know! I mean, you can keep your girly pointy-eared Legolas, but when Orlando came on screen in KoH, I had a reaction of "OMGWTF??!!"

Did you see the May 19 issue of "Rolling Stone" with Orlando on the cover? Holy cats, he's so beautiful it's inhuman.

How was KoH as a movie? The reviews aren't too hot, but you can't always go by those.

Well, it wasn't great, but it was entertaining. I didn't feel like seeing it in the theater was a ripoff. I had fun.
