pierceheart carbonated the beer yesterday! At his suggestion, I invited F. over last night for homebrew and homemade pizza. The pizza had shrimp, caramelized onions, garlic, and fresh basil as toppers, and the beer was OMG good. STRONG (7% ABV). Malty. Hoppy. Complex. TASTY! I was so happy it came out well! Let's hope the peach melomel fermenting away in the corner of the kitchen will be as good.
So the three of us ate, drank, and were merry last night while watching
Monty Python's Flying Circus. We sang the lumberjack song, and F. started making up his own Pythonesque songs as the beer took effect. We got to see some fireworks, and then headed over to Goffee, where
brontosproximo asked if I was related to
tisana. I informed him that the answer was "um, no," and explained to him exactly what
tisana and I have had in common, other than genes. I wonder how his foot tasted?
Anyway, getting to spend most of an evening squished between two hotties, eating good food, drinking good beer, and giggling made me a very happy Laura. Then I had to come home and pack for Connecticut.
pierceheart will pick me up after work, and we'll drive down tonight. Yay! I hope we get some good beach weather, and that his parents don't have a problem with my scandalous swimsuit. Maybe I should ask the boy to pack my demure one? Nah...doubt it fits right. They'll just have to deal with my scandalousness.
I'll be at work until 5:30 tonight. After that, I may not get to check e-mail until late at night on Monday, or maybe Tuesday morning. We'll see.
