The Shakespeare thingy
Sep. 23rd, 2005 04:20 pmSo people are quoting Shakespeare in their journals. I can't think of a particular brief passage I really want to quote. I would, however, encourage anyone with the time and inclination to do so, to read the following scene (Act I, Scene 2) from Richard III. Observe how slyly Richard (At the time, Duke of Gloucester) manipulates Lady Anne, widow of Edward, son of King Henry VI, both of whom were murdered by Richard. He gets her from wanting to see him dead, to basically being wrapped around his finger.
It's pure evil!
And then go watch the film version of the play with Ian McKellen in the title role. He rocks.
