Tonight's plans: Laundry. On a Friday. Because the washer in my apartment had the coin-tray jammed last night, so I couldn't do it. Now I have a laundry basket full of dirty clothes with detergent on them, and will be spending Friday evening at the laundromat. Yay.

i went to their with a friend, and went next door to the convenience store, and got a beer, and put it in a paper bag.
it was such a blast.

i am thankful that my boi bought me a new machine last year. i was going to the l'mat every week.

Ok, if the offer still stands, I'll gladly take it.

Of course it still stands.

Ok, didn't want to assume.

Did you want to do something besides laundry tonight? Dinner/drinks?

We can do dinner, and B5?
Maybe 'tinis?
Or would you like to dump you laundry, and then go out?

Go to my place, get laundry (and maybe change), go to your place & dump laundry in the washer, go out to eat, and then come back to finish laundry and watch B5?

Joy.
At least you don't have a bad habit of leaving laundry to the point it's a mountain you have to scale to reach the bed. Obviously need to sort out things I no longer use...

Tonight's plan: Do something I've never done before.

I'm going to go to a *gasp* local pagan shop (LPS?) who is having a tenth-anniversary thing. Ray Buckland is making an appearance, having recently decided to be a little less of a recluse. I've always wanted to meet him. It'd be nice to shake his hand and say 'thanks'.

Whether in snark, or sincere, that earns a d'oh!

I have a soft spot for him. His Big Blue Book was my intro to Paganism. It's what eventually helped me find the path I'm on now.

*nod* My first book was Amber K's "True Magick". The big blue book was a gift... but I love the locust beer recipe. We have a lot of locust trees here in Ohio.

I honestly believe that a big part of the Work is to embrace and love our own... that all the splitting and dividing is hurtful to the greater whole of the Craft.

The good of the Craft is more important than some one witch's ego fit or somebody's bad divorce.

With the additional note, perhaps, that "embracing and loving our own" doesn't mean we have to support our own when they're behaving like utter twits. :)

Right. Exactly.

In my birth family, I have a crazy uncle. He's been a Mason (Scottish Rite, 33*) and now he's a Jehovah's Witness. He has some pretty wacky ideas about a lot of things. I agree with him on almost nothing.

But, he's still my uncle. He's family. I wish him the best and all that.

Yeah, well. No one ever said I didn't have a big heart.

And if they did, they were idiots.

I've never been to that shop, either. I don't generally go to any LPS unless I've got gifts to buy.

Nothing I need I can't make or find.

Total ripoff!

We have "Dirty Dungarees" in Columbus. Beer, pool tables, and laundry.

I just want something here in Boston. There are neighborhoods without ANY laundromat at all. People in the Back Bay have to drive or ride the subway with their stuff. The ones near me are tiny with small washers. They haven't upgraded in years because there's a shitty laundromat monopoly in this town. I go to one with a TV that isn't on half the time and it has three chairs total, but if you go during the weekend one or two of them are outside where the workers sit.

A place where I could buy a beer while my skivvies are in the spin cycle would be like paradise.

OH, man, that sucks.

Maybe you should open one yourself.
