Score, thanks to [livejournal.com profile] silvertree: [livejournal.com profile] badseed1980: 1, Rude person who called ME rude: 0. After all, if you expect an online community full of people who don't know you to HELP you with something, we have every right to expect you to be polite and reasonably accommodating even though you don't know us. Ha.

I couldn't think of a nice way to say, "No. The gods don't care."

Are we talking about the same one, the one by [livejournal.com profile] hawlla, where I asked nicely for him/her/it to use a normal font size and got the "OMGWTF HOW DARE U ASK ME TO CHANGE 4 U??!!" reaction?

No, I guess not. I was talking about the little girl who wants to know how what she should do about going back to her boyfriend.

Ah. I was nice on that one. I figure that this might be a good opportunity for her to better learn how to communicate with the gods. If she gets that out of it, it's worthwhile. I think that in general, deities do care about those with whom they have a close relationship, and that asking your patron for help when you're facing a tough situation in your life can be a good idea. Gods know I've done it. Just not with RANDOM deities. Why would Thor care if I'm upset? He wouldn't. Hekate, however, does. Just as I care about her and give her gifts and offerings and worship. :)

Well, Thor might care for a second, but he isn't gonna stick around for more than casual advice and may make matters worse if he starts swingin' that hammer around.

Yeah, I dunno. There's an element of that one that says, "Rules Lawyer", because she comments on the request not being for a spell. *shrug* It's good advice you gave her, and you were very nice. Hm. Maybe I'll ask her why she feels the need for someone ELSE to tell her what to do.

OR, maybe not. My plate is a little full.

See my response to [livejournal.com profile] mz_wyndi on this post. The community mod took down the post in question, alas.

Hate to say it,

but that's why I didn't join [livejournal.com profile] wiccan. I expected drama from a community like that, and voila...

That's why I like communities like [livejournal.com profile] nonfluffypagans and such. More down-to-earth discussion, less weirdness. Granted, it's not without, but it works for me.

Sometimes the drama is entertaining. :)

Eh, I get enough of it elsewhere.

You're right, though. ;P
