Feb. 21st, 2006 10:03 amWent to a barleywine tasting with
pierceheart and
leenah last night, which left me rather heavily buzzed. Ok, drunk. Barleywine ain't a wimpy beer. Especially not the 15% ABV Dogfish Head Olde School that was my favourite. Yeesh.
There was much tastiness, but afterwards I was a bit off my stride in terms of behaving like a normal person once I got home. Oy. Where the fuck are the rewind and delete buttons? Sheesh. I had a bit of a headache this morning when I woke up, too.
One good thing: I now have a candle at my Venus shrine again. I think it's time to do a bit more work with her.
Random: I'm thinking of finally taking a stage name for belly dance. The ones I've turned over in my head in the past just didn't seem right (or at least not completely). The one I've got in mind now is Anahit Karyan. Anahit is a moon-goddess and mother-goddess in pre-Christian Armenian religion. Some sites I've seen also refer to her as a goddess of sacred dance. Karyan means "the dark one" (also Armenian, and used as a feminine name). I'm only worried that it's too similar in sound to Anahid Sofian, the name of a much better dancer than I'll ever be.
Oy, meeting starts soon...
