I had a lovely weekend!

Friday night ended up being more of a party than a pub crawl. It's hard to do a pub crawl when the pubs are charging a $20 cover. Oy. But I met [livejournal.com profile] pierceheart at the Joshua Tree and had some Guinness and tasty nachos. Then we swung by Downtown Wine and Liquors, and picked up some Guinness and Smithwick's to bring back to my place. We called T.N. (who was giving us the DKM tickets, the friend of "lj user="pierceheart">'s brother) and [livejournal.com profile] cutieyum and [livejournal.com profile] geoogo to inform them of the change in plans. We drank, ate the munchies that [livejournal.com profile] cutieyum and [livejournal.com profile] geoogo brought, and played Egyptian Ratscrew, which is a blast.

Saturday morning was somewhat relaxed, and was followed by grocery shopping and cooking for the next day's potluck. Then we got dressed for the show. I was sad that I had no shoes suitable for jumping around in the crowd near the mosh pit, but [livejournal.com profile] pierceheart looked sexy as ever in his kilt. :) The show itself was GREAT. The first opening band wasn't really my thing--too hardcore/straightedge for my liking. The second band was a bit better: they did some things that sounded a little more like classic punk. The Bunker Hill Pipe Band brought the house down, and the Murphys just plain kicked ass. Oh yeah. When we got home, we ordered Chinese because there was no food in my house. Yum.

Sunday was lovely too: good times, good friends, good food. Oh, the food. And I got to play with a baby! Yay! Cutest baby EVAR. Sunday night...what did we do? Just relaxed, I guess, and watched some Babylon 5. Yeah.

Last night [livejournal.com profile] pierceheart and I decided to have a look at Good Vibrations, and were sadly disappointed. Half the stock, and maybe a quarter of the personality, of Grand Opening. And only the barest nod to kink. Waah. :( But then we made up for it by going to Hubba Hubba, and dinner at Asmara. Mmmmmmm, Ethiopian food. Yum.

Gotta start thinking about dinner tonight. Hmm. Better get back to work, too.

It's a card game, sort of a cross between War and Slapjack.

Spending Friday evening with you was very fun. We should definetely plan another night to play games, etc. I promise to cater much much better. Maybe, we could get 2-4 other people to play board games, or more Egyptian Ratscrew :)

hehe, I knew I saw you two at the concert! That was me calling out pierceheart's name, I couldn't see you (since it was so crowded) but I assumed you were there too.
