Yesterday was a good day, in spite of the horrendous splitting headache that was there throughout most of it and made me feel nauseous by the end. We went out to Springfield (which is an odd place) to hear

harlenna in the chorus for Verdi's Requiem. It was an amazing concert. The mezzo-soprano soloist had quite a lovely voice.

Today has been slow, work-wise. My supervisor-type-person is sort of frazzled and disorganized, so she hasn't been able to give me anything yet, really. I've been looking for belly dance costumes online and trying to plan a field trip to Anatolia Imports with some friends from my class so we can do some serious shopping. As

nepenthe01 pointed out, it looks like all the girls who need costumes have the common problem of having more than your average curves. Hmph. You'd think belly dance costumers would PLAN for the curves! I need a new bedlah (almost certainly), a new skirt, and a new veil. Oy. Expensive. But soooo shiny!

I need more belly dance icons. I will have to have some pictures taken of me in costume.
