I don't get you, MBTA.
Apr. 26th, 2006 09:15 pmI'm on MBTA's trip planner website, finding out how I'll need to plan my trip, timewise, to a one-day temp job tomorrow. Usually, this website is quite helpful. But...this time, if I put in that I'm starting at Davis and going to a location on Boylston Street near Copley and to minimize time, it tells me to take the red line to Broadway, then take the bus to Copley. This process makes me leave at 7:32 and get to Copley Station at 8:17. But...if I ask it to get me from Davis to Copley Station, instead of putting in the address, and tell it to minimize time, it has me leave at 7:52 to get there at 8:19am. Because I change to the Green Line at Park, as you'd think I would do. Oy vey.
There's also the irritating fact that starting any set of directions from my ADDRESS instead of Davis Square, it has me take a BUS to Davis. Anyone who's been at my house can vouch for the fact that I am about a 7-minute walk from Davis Square station. It's lunacy.

Date: 2006-04-27 01:31 am (UTC)Instead, I walk 15 minutes, get on the CT2 bus, get off, walk 5 minutes. Much faster. I'd rather walk a little further than get up an hour earlier.
