badseed1980Ok, I'm still high on recital-day energy, even today!

pierceheart, tigira, meadmaker (and their sweet little baby), erik_j_meyer, dee_cee, cloakedrose, dolphindream, deadwinter, and tisana were all in the audience.
I have to say, it gave me a kick when Miriam introducednepenthe01, C., and me as members of her troupe, the Jewels of Jamal, instead of halfway-there hangers-on. That was nice. :)
I think that every time I perform, I enjoy it more and more. I really get into it now, being up there on stage and just having fun with the music.
Everyone was great. A guy came up to me after the show and enthused about how wonderful we all were, and added that he was from Turkey (and knows his belly dancing), and that we were perfect. :) Sweet!
The after-party at H's place was great too. Good food, good conversation. We stayed quite a while, and ended up giving J and her boyfriend a ride to Porter Square. It occurs to me that she probably has an LJ, and I should find out who she is here, and add her. We apparently know several of the same people.
Anyway, at the end of the recital, we always go into the audience and grab people to come up and dance with us on stage. I knewpieceheart would kill me if I grabbed him, and so would most of the other people who'd come to see me. So I borrowed the cutest guy in the room from his mom and dad, and brought him up to dance with me! Ok, there's not much he could do to dance, being as he is just a baby, but he was a great prop! He loved all the shiny boobies. :)
And now to do some laundry.
