PSG got me an assignment doing HR support at the Charter School downtown. :) She isn't quite sure whether it starts next Monday or next Friday though. I guess I'm gonna show up for their Guaranteed Work Program at 8am on Monday, and if they want me at the Charter School THAT day, I can just walk on over and get there on time. Excellent.

That was, like, totally easy. Usually I have to leave her a message or two, wait for her to get back to me, and maybe on our second contact she'll have something for me.

I just saw a position online at the Museum of Science...HR assistant. THREE WEEKS of vacation, sounded like stuff I could do and enjoy...but starting salary was only in the high 20s. Meep. Sorry, need more than that.

But... maybe they'll let you play in the Lightning Room!!! That would be perk enough for me right there! Plus, you can get your friends in for free!!! That's one of my most favorite places on earth.

Wait, how many weeks of vacation did you get at the other place? I thought three weeks was pretty standard?

Yeah I wanted to work at The Aquarium one time...same thing. LOW PAY. Sucks when the jobs you want don't pay enough.

A lot of places start you out with 2 weeks of vacation at first. I was surprised that my old company gave us 2 weeks as 14 DAYS, which basically translated into 3 weeks if you took one full week with a holiday in it.
