O NOES! I haven't updated since Friday, and much has happened!

I had an excellent Cinco de Mayo party--a leetle one--Friday night. There were many margaritas. Ugh. Way too many. Saturday morning I was a blithering mess, but I recovered sufficiently from the hangover to attend ravenstorm27 and vervaine13's party. Needless to say, I stuck to diet Coke, seltzer, and cranberry juice that night. Oh yeah.

Sunday was a lovely day spent at least partly in the outdoors, enjoying the sunshine and the feeling of warm grass under my feet. Yay! I also got to hold a happy little drool machine. :)

Unfortunately, pierceheart is sick. Not in the usual way, either. He has a cold, poor boy. I made us some Spicy Cock Soup on Sunday night, and some faux pho last night, to aid in the recovery process.

So...yesterday was a very boring one-day assignment. I hope I get something better today. Fortunately, I slept like crap the night before, so my zombified brain was able to get through the day without me breaking down and crying from Teh Boring. Tonight is laundry night, and maybe I'll get some repair work done on the awful ribbon tank top while at the laundromat.

Anyway, here I am at PSG, waiting for them to find me work!

I got it in a packet, actually. It's sold in the Carribean section of the ethnic foods aisle at my grocery store. Basically, if you make a chicken noodle soup and add some hot sauce, you'll have a fair approximation.

I got one of those packets just to keep in the kitchen on display to amuse me. It's armandae's fault for seeing it in her kitchen. Though I suppose if someone pissed her off, her making soup out of them would be the least of their problems...

I don't think I've ever had coq au vin or any kind of chicken other than a roaster or regular stuff from the supermarket. Does it taste different?

This just tastes like chicken soup from a packet with added hot sauce. Nothing really exciting, but not untasty.

Hey! Just wanted to let you know, I forwarded the link to the HawkCam site to my Mom (she's a 6th grade teacher in the Tri-town area). Since she's almost completely computer illiterate, she had a coworker bring it up for her and the two of them stared at it transfixed for 20 minutes. Mom had it saved to her desktop and she left it up all the next day and the kids got a real kick out of it. So, thanks for posting it - a lot of people have gotten some real enjoyment from watching the little family!
