Hooray! Sunshine! Blue sky! This, my friends, is May. Yep. NOW the outdoor fucking can start. Er, as soon as the ground dries up a bit.
So, I went to Diesel last night as planned, and had a better time than expected. I guess the nastiness in the Herald article brought out more people, including some who I know a bit better than most of the crowd there, or who I at least talk to more often. People there in general seemed a bit friendlier too: there seemed to be a little less cliquishness and a little more whole-group solidarity. Now, I don't believe that just because we're all poly means we all should be good friends and one big happy family. However, it's nice when we can socialize as a group with a good amount of intermingling between the various couples, families, groups and "harems".
Dinner was also better than expected because we got out of Davis Square and went to Bertucci's for some tasty pizza. Leftovers for dinner tonight, yum!
I've started knitting a little blanket. I'm quite excited about it. I can work on that tonight at the laundromat. I figure that will be a good thing to do while
pierceheart is at Lodge. But I may decide to wait until Saturday if I can plan out enough outfits until then. :) I'm such a laundry procrastinator. I may do some research and planning on my knitting and other projects instead. We'll see.
Oh man, I really want to go play outside. I've been buying lunch at work lately because it gets me away from my desk and lets me sit indoors out of rain. Plus, this time of month I'm more than usually susceptible to temptations like French fries and the like. Today, though, I'll eat the lunch that's in the freezer at my desk, and then go sit outside and knit or something to get away from my desk. It's better for me.
And now I have "Here Comes the Sun" stuck in my head, but that's ok because I love that song and it makes me happy. :) I don't always have bad SAD, but once in a while it hits me hard. It did in Ireland for about a month, and it did most of yesterday. Today is a new and lovely day, though, and I am ready to enjoy it.
