Jun. 16th, 2006 02:34 pmI feel like a kid again: I MADE my father a Fathers' Day card. :) Because I don't have much in the way of crafty materials here at work, I did it on the computer. Because it was the only tool on my computer that could possibly do this, I had to do it on Microsoft Word for Macs. Oy. I managed, though. Turned out pretty cute! Unfortunately, the MIT Coop did not have the book I wanted to get him. I started looking at bookstores at Downtown Crossing because it's easy to get off there and back on again, on the way to South Station. Neither Barnes and Noble nor Borders had it in stock. B&N had NO Spider Robinson in stock. Borders, though, has a few at least. So I'll get one of the Callahan books for my father, but not the omnibus. And I'll promise him more when I have more dough.
My father has a bad habit these days of not making time to read. I'm going to insist he make some. He'll like this.
