I had a wonderful date night last night. :)

A very nice couple at the bar bought

pierceheart's and my first round of drinks (almost certainly because he was in uniform, since he was lacking in civilian clothes). The food was teh yum. I still have a big duck breast and some sticky rice with cashews and mango and bean sprouts left over for dinner tonight. We skipped dessert, and hit the Square itself to say hello to

tigira and

meadmaker.

tigira's morris team was dancing, and I did a little circle dance with them (as did the baby, with the help of mama

tigira). Afterwards, we went home and stayed there for the rest of the night.

And oh, I almost forgot to mention: I DROVE yesterday!!! I can hear some of you saying, "Big deal!" Well, I haven't gotten behind the wheel in about four years, and I didn't do a heck of a lot of driving before that. I was never very good at it. But

pierceheart asked me to drive Binky from my place to the Brooks parking lot yesterday so he could stash his stuff there before dinner. I know, it's only a few blocks. Still, it was a bit of an adventure for me, and Binky and I both survived without getting hurt or hurting anyone else. :) Once I parked, I hung out at Diesel for maybe 10-15 minutes or so, and got to chat with

zzbottom and

lovelyblackrose for a bit. That was nice. Then the boy got to Davis, and we went to Gargoyles.

Tonight, I should probably do laundry, in spite of the rain. In fact, I MUST do laundry: I've promised to cook yummy food and may go to Goffee, and Friday night (I believe), we're heading for Connecticut. I'm really looking forward to that.

MIT is indeed open on Monday, so I will be working then, but Tuesday...HOLIDAY! Yay again. I only wish I got paid for it.

I have a large and somewhat painful bruise on the palm of my left hand. It was not there until sometime last night. How did it get there? I have absolutely no clue. Maybe it's some sort of half-assed stigmata. That would be amusing, and rather ironic.
