What's wrong with this picture?

So there's this new show coming out. Brotherhood. It involves two brothers from a neighborhood of Providence called "The Hill". (Federal Hill??) One's a politician and one's a mobster. They're Irish.

What's wrong with this picture? If it takes place in Providence, the politicians and mobsters shouldn't be different people, and both are nearly always Italian, especially on Federal Hill, aka Little Italy.

j4yx0r, I know you're probably as confused by this as I am.

Apparently, it's just a retelling of the Bulger story, and they decided to relocate it from Boston to Providence, and fictionalize it. Ah well. I'd have liked to see a show about real corrupt Rhode Island politicians and mobsters. Providence has enough drama of its own without having to steal from Boston. I mean, I love ya, Boston, but I'm a Rhode Island girl, you know.

That is kind of odd. I'm interested to see if they actually do any justice to the city. Since they're already getting details wrong, I'm thinking that the writers may just be using the city as a backdrop and not intending on doing any real justice to it. That's sad. Maybe it won't suck as much as Providence did, though.
