Guess what song just came on the radio (WGBH's A Celtic Sojourn)? "John Barleycorn".

It's a version I've never heard before. Slow, but in a major key, and with slightly different lyrics. Pretty. I wonder who does it.

Anyway, guess what I'm in the middle of doing right now? Making another yeasted beer bread.

Everytime you post about bread it makes me hungry! Do you do this by hand or use a bread machine? UMM there is nothing like hot bread from the oven!

i have a bread machine i'm not using. want it? all i ask is that you occassionally make a loaf of bread for me. :)

and, re: PNO - i did see that you were calling - i was at the covenstead for esbat. i saw it was you calling, went, 'oh! 13th!' and turned off the phone, 'cause i wasn't able to answer it.

Hmm. Free bread machine? I'd love to take it, but I'm not sure I have space for it anywhere. Maybe pierceheart does? I know his bread machine is broken or missing parts.

well, let him know, ok? i'm not giving it to just anybody, 'cause it's not actually bothering anyone where it is (in my little storage cube in the laundry room), though it's also not doing anyone any good. i keep hoping i'll get it out and use it, and i don't really have space for it to LIVE outside the storage cube. but if he wants it, he's welcome to it. as long as i get a loaf of bread out of it. :)
