(Honestly, everyone else has already said better stuff than I will. I will add, however, what I said on a comment to a post that said this is one of the reasons why the poster doesn't consider himself an American. I said to that, "I am an American. These people have forgotten what being an American means." I think our government and a significant portion of our citizens really need to re-learn that. I'd love to see the President have to go through a basic high school civics course, and re-learn what really made this country great.)
Anyway...on to less depressing subjects.

pierceheart. We haven't had much quality alone-time this week, and won't have much this weekend, so this will be nice. He may even get another birthday surprise, if he's a good boy. (Of course, he may get a bigger surprise if he's a bad boy.)
2. Tomorrow I am getting up at the ass crack of dawn to go to the Knitters' Breakfast at Fabric Place withdee_cee. Cheap yarn, knitting supplies, and knitting books! W00t, I say! Tonight I will have to do a rough inventory of what I have in my possession as far as knitting shtuff goes. And maybe take my measurements and print out the patterns I'm interested in making, to bring with me.
3. After the breakfast, I am going to bake a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting (NOT death), forpierceheart, and possibly have more coffee. Then I'm going to his party. Yay! Party!
4. Sunday, I plan to head to King Richard's Faire withpierceheart and whoever else is coming along. Ah, it's been a while since I wore garb! I'm eager to do so again, half-assed though my garb may be. Or maybe more like three-quarters-assed.
5. I just found out thatelissa_carey will be at ayla_3388's wedding next weekend! Squee! I haven't seen her in ages! :) And the Pyrates Royale will be there too, since it's being held at the Maryland RenFest. Joy! Pirates, friends, beer, costumes, and schmoop. What could be better?
