So I didn't end up with company for dinner, but I did get spicy pad thai and I got a new Neil Gaiman book to read while I ate it! Yay! I saw wench33 at Goffee later on, as well as a couple other ladies whose LJ names I don't know. We griped about men and sex and the lack thereof, and discussed batshit crazy people we know, Halloween costumes, and the virtues of Spike's Junkyard Dogs. It was fun.

You know something? I really need a date. One where there is giggling, cuddling, flirting, smooching, and sex. Good thing I have a date Monday with my boy. This is a busy month for both of us. *sigh*

Yeah. It wasn't a bad evening, really. The new short stories collection is really good! Well, I mean, of COURSE it is, it's Neil. Squee!

Oooh, you bought Fragile Things! I can hardly wait to get my hands on that. I'm debating on buying it, among other things (like a cd or two of Qntal, or some Bath & Body Works because of a coupon); I have to see how much it is, and weigh how much I want it versus the cost. (I'm trying hard to only pick one out of all that to get because of limited funds.) I may have to wait until it comes out in paperback, or until the library gets a copy I can borrow. :/

*wince* Damn. Looks like I'll be waiting, then. I could spend the money, because it's within my budget, but I can't justify it enough to myself. I'm hoping to keep my purchase(s) under $20, or at least not much over.

If music can be bought at Half Price Books, I may be headed there this weekend to look for some Tom Waits and/or Qntal. (And if not, maybe I'll find some other goodies to get for me or for Josh and Heather.)
