Ah, Wednesday. You're not quite close enough to Friday for me to be getting ready for the weekend, but you're close enough to the beginning of the week that I still feel like I have time to do the things I need to do before the weekend. That's a good thing.
That means tomorrow I can do a MASSIVE shopping trip at the grocery store. I figure I'll do that, get my stuff, and head over to
pierceheart's for the night. Cook something there, probably. I haven't done much cooking lately. Maybe something souplike. Pho? Something else? We'll see. I totally dropped the ball because I forgot we'd planned to spend the night at his place on Monday, so I suggested Thursday instead. I will have to figure out where to catch the bus. Seems the easiest way to get to work from there is to take a bus to Davis and get on the Red Line, which won't take me too much longer than the way I usually go.
I have no plans for Friday night. Does anyone feel like doing something low-key?

Low key... perfect

Date: 2006-10-25 03:19 pm (UTC)I say "low key" because the next day I am carving pumpkins, then getting ready for a party, then partying, probably until late. So I don't want to be out on the town late on Friday night.
Are you guys coming to that party?

Date: 2006-10-25 05:45 pm (UTC)Get yourself a pair of size 8 straight needles and some cheap worsted weight yarn like Lion Brand Wool-Ease or Red Heart worsted.
Start at the beginning of the book and practice knitting in garter, stockinette, rib, and seed stitches, and casting on and binding off. Make a few swatches. Then pick an easy first project (one of the simpler scarves in there is fine), and have at it! If you have any questions, let me know. :)
