1. What did you do in 2003 that you'd never done before?

Belly dancing. New kinds of relationships. Pulled 2-ton stones with ropes. Stuff that lowered my purity test score.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

I didn't make any for 2003, I'm not making any for 2004. You can't be sure of anything.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?

No.

4. Did anyone close to you die?

My grandmother.

5. What countries did you visit?

Just the US

6. What would you like to have in 2004 that you lacked in 2003?

Contentment.

7. What date from 2003 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?

December 23. Not the time or place to say why.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

Surviving. Finishing prededicant classes. Learning to belly dance.

9. What was your biggest failure?

Failing to change what I want out of life.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?

Not physical.

11. What was the best thing you bought?

My groovy Man Ray clothes.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?

All the friends who were there for me when I really needed them.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?

Again, not the time or place.

14. Where did most of your money go?

Rent. Fucking Boston.

Stones Rising.

The songs the Stone Choir sang.

With family and friends, and the man love.

Don't talk much on the phone, sadly. Maybe M.A. Maybe my mum.

I really tried not to, but it happened anyway. And all the stuff that had made me not want to, happened just like I thought it would.

None

24. What was your favorite TV program?

Buffy (duh)

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?

No. I don't hate anyone at all right now, and I'm not sure I ever really have.

26. What was the best book you read?

Other than re-readings? Everything I read by Terry Pratchett or Neil Gaiman.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?

That I could belly dance without making a fool of myself.

28. What did you want and get?

Love, friendship, fun, new experiences...

29. What did you want and not get?

Hmm. The one thing I wanted most, I didn't get. The other thing I wanted most was not to want it, and I didn't get that either.

30. What was your favorite film of this year?

LOTR: The Two Towers.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?

Had dinner with the family.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?

Lace it tighter, I'm still breathing!

Look, I can make them spin in different directions!
You know, clothes are overrated.

34. What kept you sane?

That would imply I was sane to start with. My close friends who listened to me.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?

Viggo Mortensen.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?

War in Iraq, more for personal than political reasons.

37. Who did you miss?

My friend Dan, who I only heard from once this year. At the beginning of it.

38. Who was the best new person you met?

[livejournal.com profile] pierceheart, and everyone in SS.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2003:

Trust my own instincts, because pessimism is usually spot-on.
