Boy, somehow I feel like I have been uber-productive today! I've done a lot of work, that's for sure. I'm pretty pleased with myself, especially since I think my research work today turned up some really good prospects. It's so satisfying, being in a job I enjoy.

And I'm getting really hungry! Hmm. I guess that sushi wasn't quite enough to keep me full until dinner. Dinner tonight will likely be a tofu dog and fries from Spike's. I'm glad they make tofu dogs! They're fat-free and tasty! Especially with the celery salt on them. Gotta have that. But maybe I ought to see if they have a side salad, and get that instead of fries. Man, if they did BAKED fries too, my world would be a wonderful place indeed. I ought to suggest that.

Does anyone else here always rack their brains over what they're going to wear to family holiday events like Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day? Or am I the only one? It's worst on Christmas Eve for me, since my family tends to go a bit fancy for that. But I've found myself thinking, "Good thing I'm doing laundry tonight! I'll have to plan what I'm wearing to Thanksgiving once it's all clean, and set that aside." I'm not as bad as my sister, at least. She tends to go into hysterics over dressing for ANYTHING.

Oh, by the way...yes, I do indeed have a sister. A lot of people got that one wrong on my little quiz thing. She's almost exactly a year younger than me (born on 1/31 of the year after me, I was born on 1/9). Her name begins with the same letter as mine, and we're close in colouring, so a lot of people used to confuse us. I
like her well enough, but we're very different in a lot of ways. We have a similar sense of humour, though. Her looks take more after my dad's side of the family, but her personality is most like my mom's. I'm the other way around: I look just like my mom, but my father and I are much more alike.

Just so's you know. :)

when i visited the in-laws i was concerned about how i dressed.

for the southern relatives, when visiting them i take things that are comfy, and a nice outfit in which i feel pretty.

these days i just visit friends for the day, so it's a bit less stressful deciding what to wear.

No, no...I am just the same way about what to wear over the holidays now.

I never really needed to worry going over to my Gramma's house, but now is a different situation. So yeah, I am scrambling what to pick out for these next few holidays.

Your family actually cares about what people are wearing? My de-facto step-family's not really all that concerned, so I'm off the hook there, so long as it's clean and not falling apart. It's all the other stuff I wind up doing that has me in a cold sweat pre-planning outfits weeks in advance! Shopping HELL! There, I feel your pain.

Well, the only time people dress up is Christmas Eve. For the rest of it, it doesn't actually MATTER, but we all try to look good anyway, even though no one else really cares how anyone else looks.

And it's not like I really ever do anything that requires me to dress up, any other time.
