Five positives:

1. First snowfall of the season! Yay!

2. First real date in ages with dahveed76! Yay again!

3. Plans for tonight suddenly materialized just before I went to bed last night. That's cool.

4. Someone brought in cookies labeled as "Serious chocolate, with cocoa beans!" Serious chocolate is DEFINITELY a positive.

5. Gifty goodness! *plot plot*

Wow, that was the fastest five positives in a long time. And this is good. It's nice that there are so many good things going on right now, because pierceheart's being so busy over the next ten months or so is not going to be easy on either of us. We went over schedules last night before bed. It was really sad. Oy. Poor boy.

On the plus side, this February I will have an actual formal occasion to attend. Ooooh! I haven't had one of those since giffin's wedding! Good thing I have a couple months to find a dress. I'll bloody need it. Plus tailoring time, more than likely...

(1) I'm with you on the scheduling thing. In fact, I'm ready to be a stern taskmistress to make him be a good boy and start taking scheduling seriously, for everyone's sake. We'll all be a lot happier that way. (Not like I've been particularly good about it habitually, either, but it's a good habit for us to develop. Will save everyone a lot of unnecessary aggravation. Tell me how I can help.)

(2) Ooh, formal! Pretty dress! I don't know if you have a good tailor, but if you need the tailor of your life, and I mean KICK-ASS tailor, I can recommend one in the South End. The best tailoring you'll ever see. It ain't cheap, but you'll feel like you're wearing couture. If it's that kind of event and you want that kind of tailoring, let me know and I'll hook you up.

1. He does take it seriously, and I don't think either of us should bitch him out about it or anything. He really is busy. That's not something he can change. And it's not just him: we all have to be good about scheduling.

2. Thanks for the offer, but there's no way I'm paying through the nose for tailoring since I'm likely to have to do so just for the dress. I don't have that kind of money.

I gotcha. I'm being a bit tongue in cheek over "stern taskmistress" but we'll all be much happier and less stressed growing better long-range scheduling habits. However my scatterbrained brain can help in the mix, tell me. (And I'll ask my favorite shopper-pal to send you her amazing shopping karma vibes. Only person I ever knew who could find a Prada dress at the Basement for $35, no lie.)

Hmm. I think all of us should be willing to look several weeks in advance when planning stuff, and should be good about writing it down so we can easily tell what we've planned. Yeah, sometimes it sucks to be so rigidly scheduled. But it beats never being able to see one another! And once in a while I'm sure we'll find room for more spontaneity.
