Yeah. When I think of Pearl Harbor, I think of my uncles who were in the Navy during Korea, I think of my father in the Marines stationed in Hawaii in the late 50s. I think of my own service and the young men I served along with and wonder who among them have paid the highest price for serving our country. I may not always agree with the choices our leaders make, but I always believe in the men and women who choose to serve and take time from their lives to put the ideals of our nation ahead of their own futures.
That's right, I'd forgotten you were in the service. Yet another person who bucks the stereotype of the military. I know enough of those that it often seems like the stereotype is more the exception than the rule.
