Looks like I'll be getting a pretty darn sweet refund this year. Better than last year's, because I made less money. Quite a bit less, actually. When I totaled up my W2s (all three of them) I thought, "Wow, I wouldn't even have accepted that as an annual salary right out of grad school, at least not in Boston."
I also put out inquiries today about rolling over my 401K at my old job into a new one at my new job. I feel financially accomplished!
I should also really put a chunk of that refund money into repayment of student loans. It's not like I NEED to make another payment for a couple years, but Jesus, I have a long way to go. A loooooonng way. Meh. Part of me wishes I'd never gone to grad school. But then again, I might not have come to Boston if that hadn't happened. And I'd be missing a lot then.

Date: 2007-02-18 07:42 pm (UTC)I mean I am getting a huge chunk back as well, where I was like...I could pay for two classes, or get a computer that I needed.
Which is more fun?
I worried so much about money for so long...we all need fun, ya know?
