Friday Five-Looking forward...
What one thing are you most looking forward to . . .

1. ...Going out with my friends tonight!

2. ...over the next week? Fetish Fair Fleamarket, Kat's recital, Brunch with a friend, movie with a FWB, and lots of knitting!

3. ...this year? Getting a new roommate to replace mine, who's leaving when our lease is up on 2/28! (Anyone know a person who needs a place, let me know!)

4. ...over the next five years? Seeing the boy come home; hopefully relaxing into a fulfilling and happy relationship with someone I love; hopefully progressing further on my spiritual path.

5. ...for the rest of your life? Contentment.

Huzzah! I just have been doing it for a week. I went to a Stitch 'n' Bitch last night. I want to start frequenting the Monday night one downtown here at Borders!

I was about to offer to show you what I know of how to sew if you'd show me something about knitting, but then I remembered that I have dimwitted cats and I'd be pulling yarn out of the litter box or detangling them from a Shelob-like cocoon, and I don't have any designs I wanted make...
It's good that you're planning on being creative/productive, though, I should, too...

Thanks. I do know a bit of sewing. I made my own Ren Faire costume, and I have a sewing machine. I can do most of my own mending, anyway.

I just shut myself in my room and my cat out of it when spinning or knitting, but I do most of my knitting on the T.

Oh, the chemise and skirt are really simple. The bodice was tough, but my more talented friend did all the hard bits, including sizing and cutting, and I just stitched pieces together, put in boning, and did the gromets for the laces.
