Dance costume stuff
Apr. 6th, 2007 03:17 pmSo, my choli and my harem pants arrived last night. The pants are fine. Could be shorter, but it's not like I'm gonna trip over them. You just won't see much of my feet. The choli...
The choli's gorgeous, and fits me beautifully. But there's no way in hell I can wear a bra under it without making serious alterations that I'm not good enough to make, and that's even assuming I can find material that matches. Fortunately, the very nice designer said I can return it for a refund. Whew. But I still need a choli. I've been recommended to a designer who's very very good, but none of the fabrics on her web page are really close to what I need, colourwise. I also managed to find a cheap choli-bra thing in a colour to match the hip scarf I ordered. It's the copper one here:

I'm not sure, though, whether it's better to order that or to call the good designer and ask her what she might be able to do for me. Maybe I'll ask her first, then if she can't get matching fabric in a reasonable time, I'll order that one. I'm just afraid of ordering something from this designer, having it get here, finding it doesn't come close to matching, and being screwed for getting something else that WILL in time for the show, and having spent a lot of money on something I probably couldn't return. Grr.
