1. I have made my first dentist appointment since *mumblemumblecough*. Finally. I know they'll tell me to get rid of my tongue ring, and I guess I will. It may sound weird, but I'm a little afraid to do so. I'm afraid of being, well, less...fun. But we'll see.

2. We're having a party at 2pm and leaving at 3pm today! Yay! I'll head downtown afterwards, I think. That way I'll be in the area for when pierceheart gets out of work and we can grab dinner before going to see PotC 3.

3. For those who don't know and do care, I'm going to be leaving for RI tomorrow with pierceheart where we will say hi to my parents and then hit Providence for the evening with j4yx0r, his girl whose username I forgot, and probably some of his other friends. We'll stay at my parents' for the night, and then in the morning we'll all drive back to Boston, where us Bostonians will show the visitors around town for the day, culminating with dinner at Sunset Grille and Tap, of course. I'm still wicked glad I got j4yx0r a half-yard and stand from there for a going-away prezzie!

Eh, they'll give you grief about the tongue ring & tell you a horror story about a patient who had one & cracked his teeth or something. I usually just laugh & smile...I've had mine about 8 years with zero problems...thing is, they don't tell you that the horror story prolly involved copious amounts of alcohol coupled with reckless tongue endangerment;-)

Oh wow--I didn't know that. In that case, yeah, I can imagine they'd want you to remove it. Was your tongue pierced too closely to the tip? Mine's never given me any trouble, especially along those lines.

They explained when they did my tongue that the little ligament below it was in such a position that they HAD to do it a little closer to the tip. I tried to find a short barbell to make sure it didn't rub too much, but had a hard time with that for a long while. I have a short one now, but it's still there. I dunno if it's gotten any worse since I switched to the short barbell, but...

Leave it up to you to have such a unique tongue! I hope the sitch isn't too bad and you can still preserve your cool factor...though in my opinion you'd be totally rad with or without it;-)
