How scarey! And not to frighten you more, but once they figure out how to do it, they wait a bit and come back. Double check the accuracy of this with the police. And figure out how to make sure they can't do it again: loud alarm system?

I'm figuring these people weren't the brightest or most professional. They seem to have been scared off pretty quickly, after just going through the roommate's room. I think making sure the window's shut and putting in a Charlie bar will help.

One thing I've noticed after nearly three months on grand jury duty is that the criminals are really really stupid people. But they manage to somehow be cleverer than non-criminals, because we tend to judge others likes ourselves and can't imagine doing half the stuff they do, because it's too damn stupid! But they go ahead and do it anyway.

Dam that sucks, It happened to me in Philly, they broke in, took what they could carry in one hand and left. It's not the loss of property that bothered me, it was the violation of personal space. Sorry you had to go through it.
