I just checked my Free Will Astrology horoscope (which has been up since Wednesday, but I forgot):


"We're almost halfway through 2007. Let's take inventory of how well you're capitalizing on this year's unique opportunities. Are you exorcising the ghosts that have messed with you for so long? Have you been wrapping up all unfinished business and resolving every ambiguous pain-in-the-ass that has sapped your energy? I hope so. By your next birthday, I'm rooting for you to finally graduate from the lessons you've been studying for years. Then you'll be primed and receptive for the fresh teachings that will begin flowing your way in 2008."

Well gee, ya THINK? Resolving unresolved issues? Learning lessons to make you ready to receive NEW lessons? Hmm. I wonder how that could possibly be a part of my life right now? < /sarcasm>

Umm, ah, gee...isn't that kind of the human condition? We learn stuff, we lug around unresolved stuff, we learn how to dump the unresolved stuff, and then we pick up some new stuff? I'm just sayin'. (Whatever your baggage is, may you dump it with ease, or at least pare it down to a lightweight, well-packed carry-on.)

BTW, I'd never seen Free Will before you mentioned it. Love the guy. He reminded me so much of my favorite San Fran Chronicle columnist/modern philosopher/yoga teacher/object-of-lust Mark Morford...then I scrolled down on one page to see him linking to all of Mark's columns. Figures. They're totally psychic brothers. I'm so bookmarking this.

Well, yes, after a fashion it is eternal and universal. But at this point in my (for lack of a better term) spiritual development it is particularly...uh...emphatic.
