Yup, Mercury's still retrograde.

One thing that made me start to actually pay attention to the whole Mercury retrograde thing is the fact that in addition to interpersonal communications getting wonky during those times, it seems like for me, the tools of communication get wonky as well. Today, for example, my keyboard. I spilled some coffee near it, but fortunately not ON it. Still, the column of keys along the left edge of the keyboard decided to stop working (out of spite, I can only assume). I tried cleaning them out and restarting the computer, but to no avail. Now I have a shiny new keyboard.

Oy.

Today's the big summer barbecue for my department, from noon to four. I'm looking forward to it, but am REALLY REALLY hoping to be able to find stuff to eat that won't blow my diet. If the only protein available is hamburgers and hotdogs, I'm screwed. Hopefully they'll be sensitive to the possibility of vegetarians, and have a veggie burger or tofu dog option. We'll see. I brought some baby carrots and celery sticks just in case. :) I figure a veggie burger, salad, and one glass of wine won't kill me.

We have that party atmosphere in the office today. Everyone's a little louder and more slack-y than usual. I doubt our productivity will be all that high today. :)

*Laughs* I'm with you. It seems like I can always tell ... just some weird miscommunication happens, and I think, "It's gotta be a retrograde Mercury."

Surviving all the retrograde times has taught me a lot about how to communicate effectively, though, I can tell ya that! :)
