Maybe it's time to SLEEP, not party. Or at least, it will be time to sleep after my roommate gets out of the shower and I can use the bathroom.

I saw Fido with witchyspyce and whiteboy. Oh man, it was a RIOT!! Seriously. Did you like Shaun of the Dead? How about Pleasantville? Ever see Lassie? You will laugh your ASS off at this movie. Whoo boy. We had dinner at Flat Top Johnny's first, where they did a rather decent veggie burger and broccoli. That meant that when I came home, I had enough points left over for a dirty martini. Fido made me want martinis and 50s-style dresses.

Looking at those dresses made me decide to try on my grandmother's cocktail dress when I came home. It's getting slightly big at the waist, but that may even be better fixed with a wide ribbon and bow than with tailoring. We'll see. I also tried on almost every other specialty outfit in my closet. I'm chucking a gorgeous retro-style dress I got at Filene's Basement because it looks kinda dumpy on me now. A lot of other stuff is getting too big too. Some of it may be fixable. My lovely black mermaid skirt which was SO tight when I bought it, for example, should be easy to take in. Some fits better than it used to, though, like the little red pleated tennis skirt and my senior prom gown. But it made me realize that I really am getting to that point where normal clothes simply do not fit me right if they are not both tailored AND stretchy. I think when I get down to 135ish pounds I should ask lindalee to help me figure out a simple shirt pattern and possibly a simple dress pattern, and then pay people who can sew to make multiple copies for me. Or to teach me how to do it myself.

Speaking of dressing up, looks like I'm going to miss the summer Flea, but it's for an important reason: a good friend's wedding! That surely takes precedence. :)

And now the bathroom is free, and I should get in there and GET INTO BED so I won't be too tired tomorrow. Good night, all.

Well, "chuck" as in "get out of my house". :) You're getting the pretty dress. It's a bit swanky for the average date, maybe--it's full length--but would be nice on semiformal to formal occasions.
