Very mixed stuff.
Jul. 17th, 2007 09:13 amMan, times are weird. There's good in my life, there's scary, and there's stuff that's got me worried on behalf of others.
I'm down to my initial goal weight of 140.0, which is good. I still want to lose more, but this represents the first big milestone.
I'm at what might potentially be a real high point in my work life. Nothing's certain yet, but an excellent opportunity has presented itself. This is slightly scary as well as exciting.
Other slightly scary but exciting stuff is going on in my spiritual life. There's not really any need to elaborate on that in a public entry, but there are a lot of changes going on.
But while all this is happening, two good friends of mine have run into some difficulty that has put them in danger of losing their home. The reasons are not their fault. The only thing THEY did wrong was fail to notice someone else's giant screw-up. They did not screw up themselves. Now it's all snowballed very, very suddenly, and the crisis has them both in panic (quite understandably). I'm thinking about them constantly and praying that they are able to keep their home and are not too badly damaged, financially or in terms of credit, by this issue.
