Last night's dinner was something I came up with on the spur of the moment. I sauteed onions with red, yellow, and orange bell peppers, garlic, shrimp, and Italian herbs, and just a splash of white wine. I tossed in some halved grape tomatoes when it was all almost done, just to release the juices a bit. We had that over whole wheat penne, topped off with fresh mozzarella. YUM. That's one I'll have to do again. The colours, flavours, and textures were awesome. Next time, I will fully caramelize the onions. A bit of crumbled bacon or pancetta in there, with some fresh basil, would be good too.

Tonight is laundry night, so dinner will be something quick in Davis Square. Spike's, maybe, or somewhere else like that.

Tomorrow night, I need to buy a present for the wedding I'm going to on Sunday. I'm thinking of stopping off in Williams Sonoma or something.

Saturday is my anniversary with [livejournal.com profile] pierceheart. We have plans for the afternoon and evening, but need to figure out what to do with the rest of the day. One thing I need to do is wrap [livejournal.com profile] pierceheart's present, of course.

I am lunchless today, having neglected to prepare anything. I'm going to give Legal Seafood's lite clam chowder a try. It's a clear-broth chowder with very very little fat in it. I am intrigued and thrilled by this. I don't know how big the two sizes are, but the size that's 242g (I assume that's the "cup" size?) is only one point on WW. If the bigger size is twice as big, well, that's only 2 points. Round that out with a green salad, some low-fat high-fiber crackers, and a piece of fruit, and I'm golden.

I just wish I weren't hungry ALREADY! Sheesh. I eat the same thing almost every day for breakfast, and some days I'm not hungry until 1:30, while others, I'm starving by 11. I don't get it.

I have a $5 coupon to use towards a $20+ Amazon purchase. Ooh. Might be time for me to finally get Orphans, or something! We'll see.

Hey, were you wearing pink yesterday?

I was wearing a peachy-pink top and a pink and coral skirt.

OMG ARE YOU STALKING ME???

DUDE. No, I was sitting in front of the COOP at like ah... ..... .. I dunno, sometime between four thirty and five thirty, I dunno what time it was, and I saw a girl walk by who I THOUGHT looked like you, and she was wearing what I thought was a pink shirt and skirt! With like.. some kind of ah.. if I remember.. like, stripey things or something. I don't remember that well the pattern, but she was wearing sunglasses and I eyeballed her trying to figure out if she looked like you or not. But I decided against leaping up and running after her and going "HEY R U LAUREN?!" Because I didn't want people to think I was crazy. Or, you know, crazier.

It probably WAS me. The skirt has sort of chevron-shaped stripes. The shirt was a short-sleeved wrap style tied at one side at the hip. I had sunglasses on and was carrying a black bag on one shoulder.

OMG, you were stalking me when I was on my way home! Anyway, I would have said "NO!" if you'd asked me if I was Lauren. Because I'm Laura.

DAMMIT. I get you Lauren Lauren and Lauras confused! I guess it's good I didn't, then.

OK, for some reason I keep misreading things you type.
I misread the heading as "...food erotica in my pants."

Yeesh.

"We have plans for the afternoon and evening, but need to figure out what to do with the rest of the day."

By my calculation, that leaves the morning free. My vote goes to lollygagging in bed as long as possible, snuggling, watching silly cartoons or just chatting, or daydreaming, or listening to music and downloading whatever comes into one's head. That's always my fav part of the day. (Though we tend to do that between midnight and 2:00 a.m. before drifting off to snoresville.)

Yeah, there'll be some of that, but we get to do nothing-stuff all the time. I'd like to do something-stuff.

Well, there's plenty of foresty places to go walking in within a half hour's drive from here/civilization. Like Middlesex Fells (which seems to span Medford, Stoneham, Melrose). You can either leisurely meander or aerobically hoof it. Or Garden in the Woods in Framingham (http://www.masstraveljournal.com/features/0701garden.html). I've never been, but have heard much about it and it's on my list!

I was thinking about a hike in the Fells, in fact!
