It's warm but not hot. It's not humid. The sun is out. It's gorgeous out there, and I am SO taking a lunch break today. Yeah. I just checked the weather for this weekend in the part of Connecticut where pierceheart and I will be staying. Looks like scattered storms on Saturday, but mid-80s and sunny on Sunday: perfect beach weather! Yay!

Tonight, pierceheart is staying overnight at work. I, on the other hand, will be packing for the weekend and eating veggie burgers. I may even try AGAIN to untangle that damn sock yarn. I haven't knit in about a month because of that, and it's driving me CRAZY!!! *sigh* I may just have to suck it up and buy another $23 skein of yarn. :(

Man, I also have to start planning my Stones Rising packing. I tried to check to see if pierceheart still has my parents' tent in his storage area this morning, but the lights had gone (or maybe there was a switch I couldn't find), and I decided not to bother since I couldn't see. I need to find more tank tops for Stones. I have such a hard time finding ones that aren't too long for me these days, where "tunic" seems to be the byword of the fashion industry. Bleah. But on the plus side, if I am unlucky with this, I can always just wear a bra if I so desire. It's Stones, after all. I can't wait for it! I've been so excited about it all summer. I need to start making that list soon...

do you have access to a sewing machine? the shirts could be hemmed. i know, it's not ideal.

i, on the other hand, have a difficult time finding shirts LONG enough. i don't need tunic length, i just want to cover my stomach if i'm hanging onto an overhead strap on the train.

You know, you could try Tello's or Rainbow in downtown crossing. I saw that they had some there. Just don't be alarmed if you need a much larger size then you are used to. If I buy pants or shorts there, I sometimes need to go up 2 or 3 sizes.

I think there is a Tello's in Central as well.

Good point: the slut-child stores (I mean, come on, they're for 15 year olds who dress like clubbing college girls) should be good for shorter tanks! They might not have any with the wide straps I like, but we'll see.

And they may shorten when washed! I don't think there are many with wide straps but the t-shirts are cheap enough to do surgery. Aka cut the sleeves off and surge them. Or if just for Stones? No surging!

My friend has a toddler and we could not find a tankini or one piece bathing suit for her girl! WTF? The bottoms need to cover swim diapers, yet there wasn't enough material! Not to mention easy sun exposure is a lead risk factor to skin cancer. Yes, my friend is as pale as me!

Yes...I think we need to chat about that. Refresh my memory, though: is there space for one of our tents or two at your site? I'm also assuming neorowen and sxcostanzo aren't going to be at Stones, so there MAY be room at Harvest Moon too.

If I move my tent closer to/under the tree, I think we can probably fit three tents total. I can bring my loppers with me, in case some small brush needs to be cut.

What day are you going to arrive? I should be there early Thursday morning, unless I decide to drive up later in the afternoon on Wednesday.

Okay. I have a tent already on site with my tent pass on it, and my canopy frame over the tent (same spot it was in last year). If I don't arrive on Wednesday, feel free to set up wherever around me, unless you find a different location with the space you need.

I've got a couple of ideas on this topic, so I'll e-mail you - hopefully later tonight, but definitely over the weekend.
