For anyone who knows [livejournal.com profile] fangirl715, wish her well. She came down with some serious vertigo at work yesterday, and ended up staying overnight in the hospital for observation and tests in the morning. The doctors think she's ok, but just want to be sure.

As a result, I had to rush home from [livejournal.com profile] pierceheart's house this morning to feed the cats and give the diabetic one her insulin. I was lucky the boy was willing to drive me home, even though it probably made him late.

Tonight, I have a wedding rehearsal to go to, in Newton, and gods know how I'm going to get there on time when it requires taking the Mass Pike at rush hour. Hopefully when I get home tonight, I'll have time to wrap the wedding present. Then I'll be wearing a too-big dress to the wedding tomorrow, since I didn't have time to get it taken in. Sunday will not be much of a relaxing day since I may well need to spend it doing laundry, in the blistering hot laundromat. Christ. I need a break.

I was doing exactly that some years ago -- ending up on the floor in the ladies room in building 14. Passing out (spinning head) first thing in the morning. Lots of tests later on my heart and my brain, the simple answer was -- dehydration! I wasn't thirsty, but once I made sure to drink eight 8 ounce glasses of liquid every day, the whole thing stopped.

Hopefully your friend's solution will be as simple!

[livejournal.com profile] terse_scribe will be picking me up in Kendall Square at some point to head to Newton. Do you want a ride (I ask, volunteering someone else's car)?

Thanks, but the boy and I have worked it out, and he's going to pick me up at 4:30 to head out there. We should have plenty of time. I'm glad I have a boss who doesn't mind me skipping lunch and leaving an hour early.

You're not going straight from Kendall to Newton, are you? I'm sure it won't take 2 hours!

Do you know the way to get there that doesn't involve the Mass. Pike? I used to work in Newton Centre, so I have an optimized route...

No, I don't know that route. Could you maybe e-mail M and let him know what it is? We were cringing at the thought of traffic on the Pike, especially since N asked for people to be there by 6:15, not 6:30.

Just spoke to Fangirl715. Stress tests and blood work came back good and they're bouncing her home now!

Yep, I'm home!

After all the tests, they couldn't really come up w/anything definite, except that *fingers crossed* my heart seems to be hunky-dory, so it was probably just a massive vertigo attack.

Thanks to everyone for taking care of the cats & thinking about me...now I just have to convince Jezebel & Delenn that it's OK to come out of hiding and be social with me. (I think Jess is just pissed because I abandoned her overnight, but at least she didn't crap on the bed this time!)
