My feet may yet be wandering, but my heart has found a home

Today is my last day at work before leaving for Stones Rising at Four Quarters. I'm taking a half day today so as to be able to make last-minute preparations and get my place into a fit state to come home to, without rushing. It'll also enable me to have time to get to a good place to meet the boy for our departure.

We drive to Connecticut tonight, crash with pierceheart's parents, and leave there early tomorrow morning for the drive to PA. Binky is packed. VERY packed. Maybe one of these days I'll buy a smaller tent of my own so that we aren't bringing two HUGE tents with us, particularly since mine pretty much ends up getting used as storage, and that will likely continue to be the case the majority of the time in the future. It'll save space in the car.

Anyway...we leave tonight, and by late tomorrow afternoon we'll be pretty much out of cell phone range except for maybe a brief trip out to town for munchies and other supplies. Stones is over on Monday, and Monday afternoon we'll head to the Maryland Renaissance Festival (where I need to get a new bodice, since the one I have is way too big now). Monday night we'll stay in Rockville, and Tuesday, we drive home.

I am SO. PSYCHED. I've been looking forward to this ever since the weather started warming up. :)

My last day of work, too, although I've got a full day, and work at the store tonight. Hence, the Cornish Pixie was mostly packed last night. I just need to throw in the last-minute items when I get home tonight/first thing tomorrow morning and I am all set.

Yes, both deoderant AND cranberry juice are packed. I checked and double-checked. :)

I also have foam ear plugs in case the family-with-small-kids happen to be there. Let me know if you think you'll want some and I'll snag some extras while I'm here at work.

Actually, I already packed foam earplugs. I always sleep with them anyway. :)

Something else I thought of - I think I have a smaller tent in my basement. Would you like me to bring that along so you and pierceheart can use it for storage/luggage, so you don't have to set up your tent? I also have the tent that's already on site, provided I don't have to fumigate another ant nest (ugh...). Meh - I'll just bring the extra tent along and you can decide when you get there, 'kay?

Thanks, but don't worry about it. It's not that hard to set up my tent, and since we already have it packed in the car, we may as well use it. :)

seems to be a theme. This is my last day of work before stones, though as much as I would love to have gone to the Ren Fest too, that is not possible for now.

It will be good to see you and everyone there, I will be hosting a cakes and ale celebration on Sunday too, our campsite is right across the road from Ayla's and on the way to #1 End of the Road (Andrea & Mike's). Please stop by before all the chocolate pound cake is gone! I'll have the place lit and look forward to seeing anyone who cares to come by.

Sure, I'll be bringing it with me, and you're welcome to try it on. If it fits you, I'll give it to you for...$40? I paid $60, and didn't wear it more than 6 or 8 times. I'll need to wear it to the Ren Faire, though. Will you guys be coming there Monday? If so, I can give it to you as soon as I buy a new one. If not, I will happily mail it to you when I get home.

That would be absolutely fine! I am SO ready to pull a rock (or three). And swim in a creek. And eat and drink with friends. And do ritual. And everything else that goes on!
