I appear to have caught a cold. I've been sneezing and sniffling since last night, and I have that sort of spacey feeling. Fortunately, it's not too bad, and I can still absorb the info getting dumped on me in training. A lot of it is actually nothing very new--I have a feeling the hard part is going to be learning what the important items of information are that need to be a part of the research reports, and distinguishing them from the stuff that can be left out. But so far, I've mostly been trained on how to find info, and most of that, I already knew.

By the way, when I came in to my new office this morning, there was a pretty white rose in a green vase on my desk. The vase belongs to the office AFAIK, so clearly someone here was very thoughtful. :)

Tonight I plan to make mushroom and barley soup with tofu, and talk to dahveed76 on the phone. This will make for a nice evening. I was thinking about walking home from work, too, stopping at Harvest Co-Op on the way for a few things for the soup.

Now, since I got some free time due to a shorter than expected session, I must try to practice some of what I learned.

It seems to be going around--that was part of the reason I took a nap when I came home last night, and I think I'm better now. *fingers crossed* The other possibility is that it's allergies--the ragweed & sageweed is kicking everyone's ass (nose?) lately, and sometimes the main difference between nasty allergies & a cold is whether or not you have a fever.
