Friends and dance

badseed1980I did a minor friends cut and add today. I basically removed friends who just don't really update their LJ anymore, or with whom I don't really interact on LJ or anywhere else anymore (usually just for drifting apart reasons, and not anyone with whom I was ever close). I also friended a couple people who'd friended me but who I hadn't yet friended back. I haven't done that with everyone who's friended me. I generally only do it if I know the person in real life, or if we actually interact on LJ. Have you friended me, and been irked that I haven't friended you back? Talk to me more on LJ! Or if you HAVE been talking to me on LJ and I haven't noticed, or if I just forgot to add you, let me know. :)
Dance class started again last night for me. I am staying with the Tuesday night class because there's more DANCING than in the Monday night one, and this is important for me since I don't actually take other classes. Can't afford the time or money without sacrificing other stuff I care about. I'm going to start making more of an effort to practice, though. I think I start feeling like I want to do that after a night when I do well, because it makes me think there's a point to practicing. I felt GOOD last night for the most part. I felt like the steps came easily, like I didn't really even have to think much in improvising. I even did pretty well at anticipating stuff in the drum solos, which I find more difficult than in a song with melody. I forgot my veil in class (oops), and AJ e-mailed me to ask if it was mine. She said my zils were GREAT, and asked if I'd been practicing with them. I was a little dumbfounded by that (since I hadn't been practicing with them), but pleased. She is encouraging me to perform in the NBDA show on 9/30, with live music. She said I should do a karsilima ("no one else will and you'll be great!"), which could be fun. Since apparently most bands don't know a lot of karshes, I'd probably get Rompi even if I didn't specifically ask for it, and I KNOW Rompi. :) I also have a cuter top now...if I can get my damn bra to stay up. It USED to stay up even a month ago. I'm no thinner now than I was then. Stupid strapless bra. Grr.
In other news, I got gorgeous black nail polish with a tiny bit of silver shimmer to it yesterday. Yay!

honestly, the best place to see broadway shows is london. it's affordable (expect for the crap exchange rate).
