Howdy folks!
I'm just putting a call out again to see if there's anyone who'd like to come to King Richard's Faire with me,
j4yx0r, and
my_buried_heart on Saturday. If so, please let me know!
Well, Thursday and Friday nights were both dinner-and-a-movie date nights. I had Chinese and watched 3:10 to Yuma with
zzbottom on Thursday, and had seafood and watched Eastern Promises with
pierceheart on Friday. Let me tell you: watching movies with sexy men in them while sitting next to sexy men is ALWAYS a great way to spend time, in my book!
Saturday,
pierceheart and I went to Connecticut Renaissance Faire, for a change from KRF. Overall, not so fab. The fairgrounds location meant that there weren't really permanent structures. Everything was in tents, mostly. No shade. Small. Not many vendors, and most of the ones that were there weren't great. I did end up getting a very nice suede bodice (simple, not even boned, but boy, does it provide TOAP!), and we met a nice guy selling Arabic coffee in the traditional style, but other than that it was nothing to write home about. The charms of permitted re-entry and buying food with cash can only make up for so much. Still, we did have a good time together, and that made it a nice day. We cooked dinner and ate while watching a movie when we got back, and I fell asleep before the movie was over. I was exhausted.
Sunday, after sleeping in, I went home and actually...worked on my sweater! Details will be forthcoming in my knitting blog. I did more of that on Monday, and also made pumpkin-cranberry bars from a Weight Watchers recipe for work. I just ate one, and they're good. Someone else brought in fudge, cookies, and candy, so I think the office will collectively gain a few pounds today.
And now, to work.

Date: 2007-10-10 03:06 pm (UTC)That's right! You gave me a ride home after the New Year's Eve party! I completely forgot and thought you were a fellow T-bound person for some reason.
Hmm...Ok, in that case, would it be possible for YOU to give ME a lift? It would make my life a million times easier (and also my other friends' lives, probably) and I can either give you gas money or pay for your admission.
