Happy Monday

It's amazing how much Mondays DON'T suck when you like your job. So here are five positives:

1. Cider Party Saturday was great fun, and a nice consolation for missing my date weekend with dahveed76. This is a negative-into-positive!
2. I got some cleaning and grocery shopping done yesterday that was quite necessary.
3. Steak dinner last night included my first attempt at a low fat gratin (parsnip). YUM! Good recipe. I'll do that again.
4. Dessert was extremely tasty. :)
5. Instead of spending tonight with pierceheart as I'd thought was happening due to a miscommunication, I will have it free to do the rest of the necessary cleaning and other tasks I need to get done. This is actually a rather good thing, since I do have a tight week. Another negative into positive.

Time to work.

Ooh...cider party...makes my tongue tingle and head ache just hearing those words! I love some of that Johnny Jump Up!

This was actually SOFT cider. The hosts of the party own an antique cider press, and they buy tons and tons of cider apples to press into the freshest, tastiest cider you can drink every year for this party. They do ferment some of the leftovers, but this party is about the fresh stuff.
