Oh, that's so sad. The ION channel had a 2007 version of "Hogfather" on last night, too late for me to watch more than a few minutes, but likely on again. The little I saw was delightful.

If there's any good news, it's that there are medical interventions which help many patients halt or drastically slow the progression of Alzheimer's. (Oh, the things you pick up reading "Neurology Today" in your neurologist's office when he's perpetually running late.) I'll hope that Pratchett is one of the lucky ones in that regard.
