Look out, she's got a knife!
Feb. 4th, 2008 02:13 pmA whole set of them, in fact.
My father got me a really spiffy (not OMG DROOL spiffy, but still quite nice) knife set a while back. I have greatly enjoyed using it, but have more recently begun to feel like I should really learn how to use it properly. I found out that the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts has a one-day Knife Skills class on offer. It's a bring-your-own-knives thing, which is nice, because it gets you used to using the right technique with the knives you use every day. The very wonderful
zzbottom (and
library_sexy may have been a part of it, but I am not certain, so I think I thanked both of them) got me a gift certificate for the CSCA for my birthday. The knife skills class is being held on Sunday. Seeing as I have no plans for Sunday, I believe I shall sign up! I'll have to do it tonight, since I have the gift certificate info at home, but it looks as though the class still has openings, so hopefully that will be the case later on. I'm psyched about this! This will make my weekend a bit better. :)
