So. I've been home from work for a little over four hours now. I have spent the majority of that time in bed, either reading or trying to sleep. I think I dozed off a couple times, for a total of maybe half an hour. The second time I woke feeling worse than before, but I think that may have been due to the drugs starting to wear off. After only three hours. Meh. I only got out of bed to make and eat lunch, and to take a hot bath after that second waking-up. Apparently, at least one of the friends I'm visiting tonight is sick as well, so our evening will be much more low-key than previously planned. FINE BY ME. Yep.
Before I left work today, I finished the research brief I was working on (due Friday) and handed it in for review. I didn't hand it in to my boss: she's sick too, and now her heat has stopped working. WTF? I think we need a do-over on February here, folks. But the not-mine boss who is reviewing it knows that if I can't make it in tomorrow, he's to give the comments to my co-worker, who volunteered to make any necessary changes for me. It's weird, when you're used to writing for a specific editor, to hand your stuff in to someone different. You never know what they're going to want.
Considering the fab plans I have for Friday and Saturday nights, part of me DOES want to stay out tomorrow. Meh. It's a slow time at work. We'll see...

Date: 2008-02-21 02:50 am (UTC)Nip this thing in the bud now, because hearing from those who have it (like me), it goes on FOREVER. And then comes back again.
*(Even Tom did, TWO days in a row, after a long weekend! So you know this thing is bad when he does that, he very rarely takes sick days.)
