Eris Apparel verdict
Mar. 12th, 2008 05:21 pm1. Blouse: a bit snug in the armholes, but fits perfectly at the chest. I'd swear there's an inch more of ease at the waist and hips than the size chart says, though. It doesn't look orders of magnitude better on me than the tops I recently got at NY&CO (which are gathered at the waist, so more hourglassy than their usual), but man, it's still a damn cheap top any way you look at it! Love the colour, like the fit. I'll keep it.
2. Suit jacket: again, a bit snug in the armholes. Otherwise, it is PERFECT. Simply perfect. Not so tight in the armholes that I can't wear a blouse underneath. Keeping it!
3. Trousers: awful. Too tight for my hefty thighs. Side pockets are a BIG NO-NO for a really good trouser fit. They should have known that. Women do not need side pockets on suit trousers. These pants are awful, but hey, they never claimed to be experts at fitting the lower half of the female body there. I will exchange them for a pencil skirt.

Date: 2008-03-13 01:41 pm (UTC)I think the whole "tight-in-the-armholes" thing is partly due to the fact that I'm used to having the front of the armholes on a shirt stretched forward by my bust. Not on these. It's so weird! But yeah, a little more room in the arms wouldn't have sucked.
I'm really almost as hard to fit on the bottom as I am on the top. Not many people with waist and hips like mine have thighs as big as mine, apparently.
