No St. Patrick's Day for me. I have a dance workshop tonight. I'm looking forward to that, though. We have a musician coming in to talk to us about dancing to live taxims (improvised instrumental solos) and to play a few for us to dance to. Should be fun! Of course, I may need to have a Guinness when I get home. :)

Technically, the Pope said, "No St. Patrick's Day for anyone!" His Holiness wants to make sure that we don't allow green beer to get in the way of our Holy Week.

Since you and I don't play by those rules, we'll just have to celebrate our own way ;).

I heard the information from a palm-bearing RA last night. I am not sure how authentic it may actually be, but it also doesn't set off my BS-meter. The Pope usually issues directives such as, "Okay, you can eat corned beef on St. Patrick's Day when the holiday falls on a Friday." Most individual churches call the shots when it comes to observances.

I know you and I are big fans of papal rule :).
