I am getting LIVID with iTunes.

Their support site is utterly and completely useless.

I can't set the stop time for any song. It doesn't give me an error message, it just immediately changes back to the original end time instead of saving it. I can find NOTHING about this online or in the help database.

Fucking USELESS.

I think your icon says it all.

I had to contact support about an album that just wouldn't download, and I never even received a response. Thankfully, the problem fixed itself.

Thanks. It's just pissing me off because I was going to quickly chop a song and then burn that chopped bit and another song as a gapless CD so I could practice my recital piece without interruption (and I need it for next Tuesday, anyway). But now I've wasted an hour trying to do this with no luck.

yipe. I'm sorry for pointing you down such a frustrating road.
One practical idea -- is the song stored on a disk you're allowed to modify (and not someone else's itunes library)?

Unfortunately, it's not on a disk. I bought it from iTunes. I thought that might be the problem there, but when I tried doing the same thing to a song I DID copy from a disk, it acted the same way. Oy. I may have to beg dahveed76 for his editing help after all. Of course, if I offer to perform the piece for him when he comes to visit, he might consider that a fair bargain for his services. :)
