Dance stuff, again
Apr. 9th, 2008 09:16 amI know, it's getting to be that time of year when all my posts revolve around dance. Sorry to those of you who aren't interested.
So, my teacher thinks my piece is "basically recital-ready" already. I just need to work on relaxing my hands more during the taxim. We also set the group number. We have our basic setup on stage, and the pairs/groups who will be dancing each part. AJ liked the idea. I'll be doing the intro bit with N, a student who's fairly new to belly dance, but who's very enthusiastic and dedicated. I'm going to choreograph that bit and also the very end of the song. The other groups will do their own choreography.
Oh, and for anyone who's interested: my recital is Saturday, May 3 at 1pm. It's at the BU student union building at 775 Commonwealth Ave. in Boston. It costs $5 to get in, but if anyone wants to go and the admission is an issue, I can cover you. There will be tons of great dancers there! It's always a blast, so long as you're not the one who's listening to me freak out about having a bad hair day or not having enough time to iron my veil before I go. ;)

b. Your recital is in Boston, so it might cost a bit more than $5 for me to get there.
*hugs* and break a leg! By the way, for some reason, this picture reminds me of you...
