Performances and other stuff

So, tonight I'll be at the Athenian Corner restaurant with the rest of the Jewels of Jamal, performing in a tag-team routine. There will be two full routines, I believe, and a duet. I'm the last person to go on. Oy, but at least I can eat. I'll be doing a karsilama.

Then on Saturday night, I get to be an audience member. Not for belly dance: for Jesus Christ Superstar. W00t! That should be fun.

I'm going to try to get a meeting with our potential broker on Sunday.

Today is the Stitch 'n' Bitch at work. I'm glad to have something other than That Damn Sock to work on. Yay for worsted yarn on size 9 bamboo needles, for a change! And it's soft squishy cotton! This is for the stole for pierceheart's mother. Given the fact that it's for his ma, and given the colour of the yarn, it shall henceforth be known as the "She's Partial to the Periwinkle Blue" stole. :)

Oooh! Where are you going to see JCS?! Which cast? Do you have any idea if Ted Neeley and Carl Anderson are still doing it? If so, they are OLD.

It's at the Opera House here in Boston. Ted Neeley is still doing Jesus, but Carl Anderson died of leukemia in 2004.

Oh wow. Didn't know that. He (Anderson) was the first celebrity I met. Tracked him down at the Biltmore in Providence when JCS was at PPAC when I was 13. I was surprised that he was staying there under his normal name. Now that I think about it, that was sort of a creepy thing for me to do.
