(no subject)
Jun. 18th, 2008 08:54 amI did a lot of cooking last night. I made:
1. Shrimp fettucine alfredo (from a Hungry Girl recipe, but with more shrimp)
2. Acorn squash (steamed in the microwave) with fresh home-grown sage and garlic
3. Salad with romaine, grape tomatoes, and onions
4. Some of my homemade yogurt with vanilla and Splenda, mixed with blackberries and Fiber One. Not cooking, but still.
5. Roasted pork tenderloin with Chinese five spice powder and Thai fish sauce
6. Pickled carrot matchsticks and cucumber slices
The first four were my dinner and dessert. The last two were for my potluck contribution of banh mi. By the way, let me just say that it is impossible to find whole-grain grinder rolls or mini-baguettes ANYWHERE. Grr.
I also watched some Doctor Who and had a nice shower. I got to bed at a reasonable hour last night, which was good.
Tonight, I see how my half-assed low-fat banh mi tastes. Tomorrow...
pierceheart comes home! Early! :D We may go see a property or two with our agent. If not, well, we'll relax. Friday night I'm seeing
zzbottom. Saturday is the first full day of summer! Yay!
